Everyone has to start someplace...
My Blog
Here's a few of my bits and pieces around the web:
This is my MySpace link - Seems like everyone has one. I spent a lot of time on it for awhile, then I go back to update it now and then. It was ranked about 3rd on my go-to list, but since Yahoo 360 changed to Profiles it's now my 1st place to go to. I like the ability to customize the look and feel of the site. The widgets are fun and the fact it's interface is really user friendly.

Here's my IMVU link - I actually made an account and forgot about it. Then about a year or so ago my daughter was on the site. She invited me to her homepage and I "found" my old account. I spent some time customizing and such. But finally I had to cut back some. I mean, my 3D avatar looked awesome, had a better wardrobe, cool friends and owned a manor and penthouse. It wanted to swap DNA for Data. You know, it isn't fair. Reality can be a downer if you let it try to define you. But this is definitely a great 3D chat site! The homepages are customizable and user friendly to edit.

Then there's my Yahoo Profile (the 360 remake) It kinda reminds me of Facebook. Not much to customize, maybe even less. Yahoo Profiles has all my 360 blog posts and I've been on Yahoo since the late 90's. Haven't always been happy about the changes they've made. But then everything changes eventually. But instead of my 1st place to-go, it's sorta fallen to about 3rd place.
I'm a fairly die hard gamer. I've been into RPGs since the late 70's and that attraction never died. I've played tabletop, LARP and online. Some game sites offer a profile page to their members. So below are some of my profiles on some of the game related sites I have frequented the last few years. I found free to play MMO and MMORPG game sites about a year or so ago. There's lots of great games that are free to download and free to play. In this economy a little entertainment can go a long way to reducing some stress. So check out the sites I'm on - not just my profile pages.
Then there's my writing profile on Writer's Cafe - love this place! I've some poetry up and some short stories, but my main projects are still "in works" so they're not accessible to the public yet. But here's the link to my profile...
Finally I've found my Facebook link to share so that's what I've got below. I go on there more than Yahoo Profiles, only because I've a few old mates there that aren't on any of the other social sites. So there's that one.
There are still other sites that I have out there on the net. Some sites I've done when I had my web business. I might put a link on here to a listing of them. But some are gone now due to closing, losing their hosting or in the case of Geocities sites, the host discontinued services. If I find or make any other sites maybe I'll see about adding a link page for them. There's just not enough hours in the day or night sometimes to do everything we set out to do.
Do drop in again soon. I hope you enjoyed your visit and maybe even found something interesting along the way.
Warm wishes and safe journey to you.
Carpe Diem!

Hi, nice to see you here.
Granted, it may be a mistake, you may have just stumbled in here. But that's okay.
I like unexpected guests as well as invited ones. Thanks for dropping in!
To be straight forward and get right to it, this is my personal expression site. This is where I'm going to give updates on what I'm doing to get ahead. We all have dreams, things that we want to do... But when it comes down to just doing it - we have a mountain of excuses not to get started.
So this is my starting point. This is where I'm going to keep track of all the stuff that I'm doing and trying to do.
It's the place I can link to all my social network sites, my gaming sites and my profiles. It's where I can collect all the pieces of me that are hanging about the web. You wouldn't believe all the places I've found bits of me! So I'm going to see about sorting and organizing them here, so they'll be in one place.
It's also a great way for me to be able to keep track of them better and weed out what I don't need anymore.
How many pieces of you are floating about? Somewhere in cyberspace there may be bits of you that you don't even remember. There may be bits that someone else put up about you. The net is huge! People are forever joining up with this or that and how often does anyone keep track of everything? When's the last time you searched Google for your name or favorite online ID to see what comes up? Surprised? Things on the net tend to stay out there a long time.
Not everything you find will be good. A lot can be interesting. Some things can be downright embarrassing.
With employers and who knows who else, checking out people online - it might be a good idea to know what they are going to see "ahead" of time.
You don't want a possible employer or someone searching Google and getting you mixed up with someone else. Seriously, who wants to be taken for a psycho, a politician, witch doctor, lawyer, drug dealer or vampire?
Unless that is you, then never mind.
Since I'm rather a diamond in the rough, though I've been slowly smoothed down over the years... I still haven't reached that sparkle and shine that I know is inside. My crowning jewels are my kids, each a treasure all their own. I've always told them that they should follow their dreams, to reach for the stars and be what ever it is they really want to be.
But if I'm going to be an example of that, then I need to stop making excuses and reach for my own dreams too.
I've been putting the needs of reality and my family first. Bowing to the world's logic and not following my own as often as I used to. I've forgotten how to listen to the beat of my own music - my own drummer calling to me.
It's time for me to get back to the basics of being me.
Believing in one's ability to create opportunity, to reach for that which seems impossible, that is what makes life the grand journey that it is. Not trying to stumble through a dead end job that barely makes a dent in the stack of bills that are slowly strangling what little joy there is in what's called life today...
- How many people are just barely surviving?
(Way too many! The state of poverty is bigger than Texas and California together now!) - How many are wondering if things will ever change?
(Stop wondering and start changing things yourself. You don't have to go big. One step at a time.) - Will things get better?
(I don't know. But I'm sure as heck going to try and make things better where and when I can!) - What will happen if I don't get work?
(Take control of what you can! Have a yard sale, salvage metal, post on Craigslist or anyplace you think you might be able to sell stuff. Start locally first if you have to. Also try to find ways to get what you need without money! Barter services for services. When it comes down to things that you need money for - focus on gathering up a few dollars here and there. Together it will all add up. No matter what, make sure that the situation doesn't paralyze you. If nothing else, we all have a mind, and we can use it to think. Now we can either get ourselves into trouble or out of it. But we do have to use our heads and not panic. Fear is a mind killer. Don't let it immobilize you.)
For me, this site is all about standing up, dusting off and starting up again.
We've all been knocked down, stumbled or even fallen on our life's journey. Sometimes, we've had to deal with those that would prefer we stay down. But getting back up is the only way to get started again. To start taking back our life and beginning to control what we can. We have to finding ways to get around those trying to control us. They have no right, it's our life.
It's about taking back your dreams, taking back that energy and joy that gets lost in the daily struggle. It's about finding your own personal star and letting it guide you. It's something we deserve to give to ourselves. It may not be easy, in some ways it might be the hardest thing we've ever done. But the point is to start now.
Even if it's just a stolen hour or two. It's a step forward, a start point to plan, to think, to begin on the work that needs to be done to changing things. Start off by changing those things that are holding you back, the negativity that can drain you and dragging you down. Get rid of all that noise that wants to keep you under control and keep you from being happy.
Dreams can come true...but they need you, some attention, time and maybe a little magick to get them started...
Carpe Diem!
